Did you know that fuel bought in the summer is different than that bought during the winter months? Yes it is….winter gas has a Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) to fire eaiser during the cold months. Putting gas bought during the summer months into your snowblower is not advised since it will require more to have the spark plug fire the fuel that is in the tank. ” Winter-blend fuel has a higher RVP because the fuel must be able to evaporate at low temperatures for the engine to operate properly, especially when the engine is cold. If the RVP is too low on a frigid day, the vehicle will be hard to start and once started, will run rough.”
